CLASP MENS SHED AGM

CLASP Men’s Shed is holding its AGM on Wednesday, December 6, at 8 p.m. in the old community centre Geevagh.

Members will elect a committee and agree on a structure and constitution which will build on the positive achievements to date.

The group held a number of meetings in recent weeks to plan for 2018 with new courses and programmes planned.

The shed is hoping to encourage new members including women to become involved and to create a hub for social interaction and creative activities to flourish.

We have big plans for 2018 including a Community Operational Transportation project and have acquired specialist speakers and expertise to assist us in creating a fun and life changing programme.

Also on the agenda is a furniture restoration course, and a vision for developing the garden into a first-class community facility which will be pride of place within the village.

We have set out a realistic plan for 2018 which is achieveable and we hope everyone in the community will come along on Wednesday night and join us and help us create a worthwhile community project.

Finally, the shed has been selected for Shed of the week in the Farmers Journal which is a great acknowledgement for all our members.
