1 TURBULENCE
Turbulence, a new exhibition at The Model opened last weekend, and features the work of several important contemporary Irish and international artists. Turbulence looks at the way contemporary artists are responding to the refugee crisis facing today’s world. The major exhibition takes place across all seven galleries at The Model. Exhibition continues until April 22nd.

STRANDHILL PEOPLE’S MARKET CANDLES BY CANDLELIGHT
The Strandhill People’s Market Christmas Market offers over 50 stalls selling crafts, speciality food, Christmas trees, decorations and of course mulled wine! The market is open every Friday until Christmas from 5-9pm and every Sunday until December 17th from 11am4pm.
Sligo Orpheus Choir presents Carols by Candlelight on Sun10th December at 8.00pm in Holy Cross Friary Sligo In support of the North West branch Simon Community The local Homeless charity Simon Communities across the country provide support and services to over 8,000 people and their families experiencing or at risk of homelessness every year.

SANTA BABIES
Magical music, tea/coffee and mince pies await at the Hawk’s Well’s final Music for Babies concert of 2017 on Saturday, December 9th. A series of short concerts specifically designed for parents, grandparents and carers to enjoy in the company of babies, toddlers and young children. Come and experience the magic of live music as Sinead Conway and Dave Flynn serenade everyone with festive favourites. A joyful treat for smallies!

DRUMCLIFFE CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL
The annual Drumcliffe Christmas Tree and Craft Festival takes place at Drumcliffe Church and grounds between the 6th and 10th of December. Approximately 65 Christmas Trees will be erected and displayed throughout the iconic North Sligo church, which attracts 180,000 visitors annually. Organisations such as disability services, local schools, and scouting and youth groups are amongst those who are preparing trees.

FAULTY TOWERS DINING EXPERIENCE
On Tuesday the 12th and Wednesday the 13th of December, the hilarious show, Faulty Towers, the Dining Experience returns to Sligo. This multi award-winning show takes place in the Sligo Park Hotel with bookings through the Hawk’s Well theatre. In this fully immersive experience, the audience become diners in the infamous ‘Faulty’ restaurant, served a three course meal by Basil, Sybil and Manuel, resulting in a memorable night for the audience!
