Tickets selling fast for New Year’s eve Ball

THE Mitchell Sisters Independen­t Living fundraisin­g to date has been extraordin­arily successful with the main event - a charity ball - still to come on New Year’s Eve in the Radisson.

Chairperso­n of the fundraisin­g committee Cathal Martyn says: “It has been an incredible journey. Since we began this project in September we have been met with overwhelmi­ng generosity, kindness and goodwill.

“The final few events as planned are taking place ending with the New Year’s Eve Ball.”

Christmas week is packed with seasonal events.

This Sunday 17 th life coach Shane Martin is in the Hawk’s Well while on Wednesday 20 th, Anne-Marie Keaney together with her students are hosting a Christmas Concert in the Sligo Park Hotel. Sligo Cathedral Choir, Michael Rooney, June McCormack and Nicola Cleary accompanie­d by Charles O Connor are all performing.

On Sat 23rd Dec at 8pm ‘Stars in their own eyes’ is a night of entertainm­ent and variety in Collins Bar.

Cathal says: “Our New Years Eve ball will be our final event. This promises to be a supberb night.

Dress is not formal, there is a pre-dinner wine reception and music is by Streetwise.”

Spot prizes on the night include tickets for Six Nations rugby, Michael Buble, Taylor Swift, one year’s membership for Avena Leisure Centre, Ballisodar­e and €200 Voucher for the Ice House in Ballina.
