PARISH MILLENNIUM DVD

Part 16 of the Kilmactigu­e Parish Millennium DVD focusing on the Religious Services and Events celebrated in the parish over the years 1999 and 2000 is now available. The DVD includes interestin­g historical facts about the four churches in the parish: Tourlestra­ne, Kilmactigu­e, Lough Talt and Banada. COUNTRY MARKET

Drummartin Country Market (9km out the Ballina road from Tubbercurr­y, on right besides Joe Dan’s Pub) is open every Saturday, 10.30am to 12.30pm.

The last market this year is on Saturday December 16, with a workshop for kids. Also there will be Christmas trees on sale and fantastic Christmas cakes, decoration­s and other festive treats. Live Irish Traditiona­l Music at each of the Christmas markets.

BINGO

Bingo is played every Tuesday night at Banada Abbey. €1,600 guaranteed payout every night, full house €200 on flier game and €150 on last game. New 50:50 draw each night. First game at 8.30 p.m.

ACLARE LOTTO

The Aclare Community lotto is now €1,400. Tickets are available from Kennedy’s Supermarke­t, Aclare and from any ADC member.

Should the weather not suit the service will be held in Drumlease Church from 7 p.m. Collection on the night will be donated to SVP and Crumlin Children’s Hospital.

GAA CLUB AGM

St Patrick’s GAA are holding their AGM on Saturday, December 16, in the Depot, Dromahair at 5 p.m. All club members are asked to attend; we would also like to encourage parents of underage players or anyone with an interest in becoming involved with the club to attend. It would be great to see new faces.

RECYCLING – NOTE

Please do not leave cardboard boxes or plastic bags at the re-cycling bins. It doesn’t make much sense to re-cycle the various items in the bins provided and then just leave empty boxes or bags lying around at the bins. Take them home and re-use or re-cycle them.
