Admitted assault

AN 18-year-old man will be sentenced next February after he pleaded guilty to assaulting a man on a Sligo street.

John Patrick Sweeney of 86 Rathbraughan Park pleaded guilty at Sligo Circuit Court to assault causing harm to the man at The Mall on September 23rd 2016. Sweeney was represented by Mr Michael Bowman SC instructed by Mr Tom MacSharry, solicitor. Sweeney was remanded on bail by Judge Keenan Johnson.
