Student had ecstasy pills

A 22-year-old student in possession of ecstasy pills was given the Probation Act by Judge Kevin Kilrane at Sligo District Court.

Oran Conaty, with an address of Tullymangan Upper, Cavan, was charged with possession of ecstasy at Ballinode on February 21st 2016. The matter had been adjourned from a previous court sitting for monitoring.

Inspector Ray Mulderrig told the judge there had been no incidents since and he left him without a conviction.
