Bernardine becomes first female Secretary
THERE was a little bit of history made at the Sligo GAA Convention on Thursday as Bernardine McGauran became the first female Secretary.
The Calry/St Joseph’s woman has served on the county board for many years.
She held the position of Assistant Secretary for the last five years and was also previously the County Board’s Cultural Officer.
She thanked everyone who voted for her and was wished the best by delegates.
