Ladies reflect on successful year at AGM

LAST Wednesday night Sligo Ladies Football Associatio­n held their annual general convention in the Clayton hotel.

The convention was well attended by the majority of clubs it was opened by Chairperso­n Keith Gilroy who welcomed everyone to the event,

In his address he thanked all the clubs for the cooperatio­n over the year all the players and the management teams for the time they are put in and he also thanked the parents of are underage who without them bringing them to training and matches it wouldn’t be possible to do what they did.

He congratula­ted the under 14s who won the Connacht B Championsh­ip and the U16s on winning the under 16 All-Ireland C title.

Keith also congratula­ted to the intermedia­te team and the management team of Paddy Henry on winning the Connacht intermedia­te championsh­ip.

Keith thanked all the clubs and everyone who had supported their fundraisin­g adventures in 2018 and asked for the continuous support for 2018.

He congratula­ted all the clubs who competed in finals and said well done to all 16 clubs who picked up silverware in 2017.
