Fined for holding phone

Jonathan Spencer (45) has been fined ¤100 for holding a mobile phone while driving on Michael Conlon Road, Sligo on 7th March this year.

The court heard that the Seaview Park, Cliffoney resident had not paid the fixed notice fine afterwards.

Separately, Anthony McGowan (51) of Glenview, Kinlough, made no appearance before the court on a charge of not wearing a safety belt at Caltragh on 9th March this year.

The court heard his fine was also not paid. Judge Kilrane convicted and fined him ¤100 in his absence.
