Peter in Sportsfie’s best of ‘17

AS the year nears an end, photography agency Sportsfile have released a compilation of their images of the year.

Included in the fascinating images which perfectly capture the sporting year of highs and lows from GAA, soccer, rugby, athletics, horseracing and more, is the above image from Markievicz Park.

In it, car-park attendant Peter Mullen, from Sligo, awaits customers ahead of the GAA Football All-Ireland Senior Championship Round 1A match between Sligo and Antrim in June. The photograph was taken by Sportsfile’s Seb Daly.
