NEW YEAR’S GREETINGS

This correspondent would like to wish a very ‘Happy New Year’ to all readers of the Leitrim Observer in the Newtownmanor Area. If you are not a regular reader, then ‘’Happy New Year’’ regardless, but perhaps you might make it one of your New Year’s resolutions to become an ardent reader.

LECKAUN NS

Heartfelt congratulations to all the pupils, teachers, staff, parents, technical support, props/ special effects ‘crew’, for the wonderful performance of ‘Hoodwinked’ by Leckaun National School, on Tuesday evening last, December 19, in Newtownmanor Hall.

It was a great evening’s entertainment; the capacity crowd were highly entertained by the wit and repartee of the script, the quality of the performances, the choral singing of the cast and the general fun and hilarity that the evening provided. Well done to all involved in whatever way.

25 CARD GAME

The Progressive 25 Card Gamewill resume on Friday, January 12; as usual at 9 p.m. In the meantime all regular attenders/ participants are wished a very happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year. All card players are welcome and we look forward to new members coming along.

HALL BOOKINGS

Newtownmanor Hall is available for booking, by adult groups, wishing to organise an event or training. Hall costs are €15 per hour.
