OPERATION TRANSFORMA­TION

Ballinacar­row NS are running a six-week Operation Transforma­tion programme. Registrati­on will take place on January 8 with six weeks of circuit training and diet and nutrition informatio­n with a qualified personal trainer. The cost is €60 and all proceeds are going towards the upgrading of the yard and pitch area. If you just wish to avail of the exercise class on Wednesday evening, the cost is €8 per class. Classes take part from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. and from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday evening in the community centre.

JOE LAVIN R.I.P.

It was with great sadness that the community learned of the sudden passing of Joe Lavin, Ranaghan, on Christmas Eve. Sympathy is expressed to his wife Bridie, brothers, Austin, Dessie, Brendan, Aidan, Frank and Kevin and sisters Angela, Amy and Mai, his many nieces and nephews and extended family. May he rest in peace.

PHIL WALSH R.I.P.

The untimely death took place of Phil Walsh, Kilvarnet, following a short illness. Sympathy is extended to her husband John, daughters Bernadine and Valerie and sons Declan and Damien and her extended family. May she rest in peace.

FAMILY RESOURCE CENTRE

The parent and Toddler Group meet on Wednesday mornings at the Ballymote Family Resource Centre from 10.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.

Youth Speech and Drama classes has resumed each Thursday afternoon at Ballymote Family Resource Centre; from 3.15 p.m. to 4 p.m. for ages four to eight and from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. for ages nine to 13.
