COMMUNITY COUNCIL AGM

The annual general meeting of the Kilglass Community Council has been postponed and will now take place on Tuesday, January 16, in Kilglass National School. All welcome to attend.

SOCIAL BRIDGE CLUB

The Enniscrone Social Bridge Club has resumed again in the Diamond Coast Hotel. Bridge is played every Wednesday, commencing at 7.30 p.m. 42 members returned after the Christmas Break. The winners are as follows. One, Loretta Tuffy and Eugene Ryan. Two. Anne and Johnny Fleming. Three. Roger Cawley and Felim Clarke.

WALKING CLUB

The walk this week January 20 is the Benbulben Walk. The level is hard and the terrain is Open Mountain and the length it takes is four to five hours.

SAFE PASS

A Safe Pass course will be held in the Diamond Coast Hotel Enniscrone on January 24. Contact Gregory at 087 6347707.

BLOTTO

On Saturday, January 6, there was no winner of the €14,000 jackpot when the blotto draw took place in Pilot Bar on Saturday. Numbers drawn were 14, 25 and 39. €25 winners were Patricia Murphy. Tina Clarke, Jennifer Langan, Paul Owens, Donal McGovern, Michael Egan, Kathleen Clarke and Saoirse Murray. The next draw is on Saturday, January 13, with a jackpot of €14,200. Draw will be held in McNulty’s Bar.

STRIDERS

Enniscrone Community Walking Group. Come along to join your friends and neighbours for a leisurely walk suitable for all fitness levels. Meeting at West Sligo Family Resources Centre time: meet at 10.45 a.m. to register. Starting Wednesday, February 7. Walk from 11 a.m. to midday, followed by a friendly cuppa and a chat at the centre.
