JASON BYRNE

Jason Byrne’s brand new show, ‘ The Man with Three Brains’ comes to the Hawk’s Well Theatre on Saturday the 3rd of February. This highly acclaimed and extremely funny comedian professes to have three brains which kick into action when he hits the stage; his left brain scans the audience and room, looking for improv moments; his right brain collates stand-up material and stunts, poised to dish out the funnies at speed and his centre brain is Jason’s coach, pushing him to the limit. This show aims to peel back the madness inside Jason’s head to reveal all three brains working individually.

It’s been a busy few years for Byrne. In addition to his extensive touring worldwide, his Radio 2 show was awarded the UK radio industry’s prestigious Sony Radio Gold Award. As well as fronting a brand new studio based comedy chat show Jason Byrne’s Snaptastic Show for TV3, he is co-host of Sky’s hugely popular new entertainment programme Wild Things on Sky1. Also seen on Live at the Apollo (BBC1), The Royal Variety Show (ITV1), The John Bishop Show (BBC1), and Father Figure (BBC1) of which he is creator and star. EDDI READER

Scottish songstress, Eddi Reader returns to Irish shores from the 8th - 18th of February 2018 for her tenth consecutive nationwide tour. Performing in Sligo on February 8th at the Hawk’s Well, she will be joined by her regular band members, John Douglas (guitar & vocals), Boo Hewerdine (guitar & vocals), Alan Kelly (piano accordion) and Kevin McGuire (double bass & vocals).

With her captivating and powerful performance, Eddi Reader has effortlessly developed into one of popular music’s most thrilling and affecting performers. What sets Eddi apart is the depth and quality of the emotional performance and ability not only to move the listener, but also to connect her experience to that of her audience.

Having first hit the limelight in the 1980’s with the group Fairground Attraction (who enjoyed huge chart success with their debut No.1 single Perfect and album First of a Million Kisses), Eddi went on to collaborate on many celebrated projects throughout the years, famously harmonizing with Annie Lennox while touring with the Eurythmics and paying her punk dues with a successful stint in the group Gang of Four. However it has been Eddi’s subsequent solo albums that have cemented her image as a powerful figure in British music.
