LADIES - Following on from the success of last year’s fundraising dance we are delighted to announce the return of country music superstar, Robert Mizzell, for a second year. The highly rated entertainer and his band will take to the stage in The Diamond Coast Hotel on Friday, February 16th , for what promises to be a great nights dancing. Robert will be supported on the night by Stuart Moyles. Tickets are available from the Hotel reception, Costcutter, Dromore West or through any club officer. THE club are planning to field an adult team this year and anybody interested in joining the squad should contact Paul O’Brien. ST. Farnan’s instrumental music group of Ciara Mc Gee, Lorna Mc Guinness, Holly Browne, and Claire & Edel Dunne just missed out on a famous victory at the Connaught Finals of Scór na nÓg which were held in Claremorris recently. The group put in a terrific performance and finished a very close second to the competition winners, Achill, from Co. Mayo. With this year’s All-Ireland Finals being hosted by Sligo in the Knocknarae Arena hopes were high that our club would be part of this great occasion but alas it wasn’t to be. Well done to all concerned. CONGRATULATIONS to former club goalkeeper Arlene (Tempany) Griffin and her husband John on the birth of their daughter. BON Voyage and best wishes to our former Intermediate team trainer James Hynes who is moving to England.
