ASSESSMENT OF NEEDS

Cadra has an opportunity to undertake an assessment of our area in relation to health housing social needs etc and have a professional report prepared on the issues identified.

The central question which we need examined and residents wishes established is: What services, supports and facilities including health, housing, social, transport, and security etc is required in our area to allow people live into old age in our community without the need of a Nursing Home?

Cadra is anxious to have a steering group as representative as possible of the population to guide the process which will involve Surveys, Focus Groups etc This process will allow us have a professional report prepared on the future needs and wishes of residents of Carraroe and surrounding areas. The report will guide future developments and will provide a basis for discussion with all statutory agencies responsible for the planning, development and provision of services in the area.

Cadra invites anyone interested in contributing to the process to contact any of the following: Bridie McLean 086 3998925, Pat Benson 087 2222835, Dympna O’Loughlin 087 9303540, Mary Murphy 087 6888293, Mary Dunbar 087 6669533.
