GAA AGM

Congratula­tions to Jack Devaney, who was elected president of Coolaney-Mullinabre­ena GAA Club at the recent AGM. It’s a well deserved honour for a long time loyal club servant and we wish Jack the very best in his new role. A full report of the AGM will be follow next week.

NACE O’DOWD PARK

Many thanks to all the businesses who have come on board as park sponsors in recent months. Sponsorshi­p opportunit­ies still remain with a new brochure available for 2018. Contact Oliver Lee at 087 7981827. We are very proud now to have a top class facility available to the park users.

The new pitch is now strictly closed to all users for the winter months due to some remedial surface works. The new walking/ running track is proving to be a real hit, with many locals already utilising the facility. Work has started on the new sand training area and ancillary works in the last week.

25 CARDS TIME CHANGE

The 25 card drive continues every Friday in St Nathy’s Hall at the new time of 8.30 p.m. for the winter.

DANCING

Social dancing continues in St Nathy’s Hall every Monday at 8 p.m. for beginners and 9 p.m. for all others. Set dancing continues every Thursday at 8.30 p.m. Newcomers always welcome.

PARISH MILLENNIUM DVD

Part 16 of the Kilmactigu­e Parish Millennium DVD focusing on the Religious Services and Events celebrated in the parish over the years 1999 and 2000 is now available.

The DVD includes interestin­g historical facts about the four churches in the parish: Tourlestra­ne, Kilmactigu­e, Lough Talt and Banada.
