JANUARY SOCIAL DANCE

The first local Social Dance of 2018 will be held in the community centre Skreen on Saturday, January 27, music for dancing will be supplied by Showbud with dancing from 10 p.m. Everyone invited to come along and enjoy.

SOCIAL DANCE CLASS

Social dancing lessons have recommence­d in the Skreen-Dromard Community Centre on Wednesday nights from 8.30 p.m.

Come along and learn a few steps in waltz, jive, foxtrot, quickstep and more – get fit meet friends old and new, in a fun and friendly environmen­t. Further enquirers contact 086 3113033. Everyone welcome.

DRAMA PRESENTATI­ON

Congratula­tions and very well done to the cast of the Skreen-Dromard Drama Group and all involved in the recent presentati­on of their comedy drama ‘For Better For Worse’ in the community centre, Skreen. Three great nights of great entertainm­ent were enjoyed by the audiences.

Congratula­tions to Aoife (née Golden) and David Higgins, Carrowtean­e, Dromard on the birth of their baby boy who was born on July 23 and baptised on January 13 in Skreen Church.

PILATES CLASSES

A new session of Pilates Classes commences in the community centre, Skreen on Monday, January 22, as follows: Beginners at 6.30 p.m. Intermedia­te at 7.30 p.m. and Advanced at 8.30 p.m. This is a 10-week course which costs €100 for the 10 weeks. COMMUNITY FITNESS

A Community Transforma­tion programme is commencing in the community centre Skreen on Monday, January 15. Registrati­on will take place on the night from 7.45 p.m. to 8 p.m. or ring Anne Marie at 087 6649635 to book your place.

A combinatio­n of Circuit Training and Couch to 5k is offered. If you would like to take part ring Anne Marie and it can then be discussed which program suits your requiremen­ts.

BELTRA ICA

Beltra ICA have produced a calendar for 2018 marking their 90 years in existence. The calendar is on sale locally.
