Sent for trial to Circuit Court on assault charge

A man has been sent forward for trial to the Circuit Court on a charge of assaulting another man.

Charlie Ward (28) of Halting Site, Tubbercurry is charged with assault causing harm to Charlie Ward (20) at 10 Parklands in the town on February 22nd 2017.

State Solicitor Mr Hugh Sheridan applied for the defendant to be sent forward for trial to the next sittings of the Circuit Court in Sligo beginning on February 13th next.

The defendant was remanded on continuing bail by Judge Kevin Kilrane.
