‘Was trying to sell his car’

FOR not having insurance when stopped at Cranmore Road, Anthony Melly (37) of Racecourse View was fined €200 and banned for one year.

He was also fined €50 for not producing a NCT certificate and €50 for not having a licence.

Mr Tom MacSharry, solicitor (defending) said Melly was trying to sell his 15 year old car and had drove it from his house to a nearby car park for this purpose.
