Roadworks and wheelchair users

COMPANIES carrying out the roadworks around Sligo town are to be reminded of their obligations to make provisions for people with mobility issues getting past roadworks.

It’s after Cllr Gino O’Boyle said he had received complaints from people in wheelchairs trying to get past roadworks on Hyde bridge. Senior Engineer Brian Flynn said the Roads Dept. would seek to have the problem “addressed without delay.”
