IT Sligo’s women finish third in National Futsal finals at Waterford IT

IT Sligo women’s football team were third in the National Futsal Cup finals which were held in the Waterford Arena on Tuesday.

Coach Sean Condron’s IT Sligo side were in a strong group, including IT Carlow, who were vying for their third National title in a row.

Included on the team were Northern Ireland’s Catherine Hyndman and Rachel Kearns, who scored against Maynooth.

IT Sligo were defeated 5-2 by Maynooth, 3-2 by Waterford IT and 4-2 by the eventual winners, Carlow IT.

They finished a respectable third in a very tough group.
