Do you need somebody to do a small job in your home? Maybe, change a light bulb, replace batteries in your smoke alarm, hang curtains, install a lock or a door chain, replace plugs and chains to sinks and baths, ironing and small household tasks, securing floor boards or carpets, move furniture, help filling out a form etc.
Sligo Lend a Hand is available in the Grange and surrounding areas. It is a free minor repair service in the homes of elderly and vulnerable people. No job is too small and the service uses a pool of fully vetted and trained volunteers who operate in pairs to carry out the work. All appointments will be booked in advance and volunteers will carry identification. Maugherow text alert will hold its annual general meeting on January 31 at 8 p.m. in Maugherow hall. Yearly subscriptions can be renewed on the night. Information available on road and farm safety.
