Sent for trial on child porn charges

A 25-year-old man has been sent forward for trial on charges of possessiing child pornography.

Conor Moyles with an address at Linnet Lane, Kevinsfort, Sligo is charged with having eight images and 66 video files on a pc and laptop on January 24 th 2012 at an unspsecified location within the county.

State Solicitor, Elisa McHugh told the District Court that the DPP had directed trial by indictment in the Circuit Court and that the book of evidence had been served on the accused who was represented by Mr Gerard McGovern, solicitor.

Judge Conal Gibbons made the return to Sligo Circuit Court beginning on February 13th. Moyles was remanded on bail.
