Man appears on charge of theft from jewellers

A 28-year-old man has appeared at Sligo District Court charged with the theft of two gold bracelets from a Sligo jewellery shop.

Before the court was Robert Dumitru with an address at Coby Avenue, Fairgreen in Portlaoise.

He is charged with stealing two male bracelets, one valued at €1,875 and the other, €1,375 from H. Samuel, O’Connell Street, Sligo.

The defendant, who was represented by Mr Gerard McGovern, solicitor was remanded on his own bail to appear at the court on March 1st next.
