A public meeting of Dromahair and District Community Text Alert will be held in the Depot on Tuesday, February 20, at 8 p.m. Superinten­dent Kevin English will attend. It is in everybody’s interest to attend and join in the discussion.

Bingo runs every Monday night in the Blue Devon at 9 p.m. Your support would be very much appreciate­d.

RURAL BUS SERVICE

Local Link – Killargue to Carrick on Shannon (Return): Service runs on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Departs Killargue (car park) at 9.25 a.m. Dromahair (Centra) at 9.35 a.m. Arrives in Carrick on Shannon (Bus Stop) at 10.50 a.m. Departs Carrick on Shannon (Bus Stop) at 1.20 p.m. – Dromahair at 2.45 p.m. – Killargue at 2.50 p.m.

Dromahair to Sligo on Fridays: 10.10 a.m. at McGoldrick­s arrive in Sligo 10.45. Returns at 13.00 to arrive Dromahair at 13.30.

HISTORICAL SOCIETY

Tirerrill Historical Society will host a talk in Highwood Community Centre on Monday, February 12, at 8 p.m. Well known archaeolog­ist Sam Moore will give a talk on ‘Ancient pathways: the Red Earl’s Road and Bóthar an Corann’. Today, the Red Earl Road forms part of the Miner’s\ Historical Way through the Curlews into Boyle. Highly recommende­d the cost is five euro and includes tea and cake. Gleann Meeting

A Public Meeting will take place in Gleann Hall on Tuesday, February 13, at 9 p.m. An Garda Síochána Crime Prevention Officer will give the talk. This is a subject in all our interests, we look forward to a good turnout. The event is hosted by Gleann ICA.
