New signs to scenic lakes erected
New signs have gone up directing tourists to scenic lakes of South Sligo.
It’s after Cathaoirleach of the Tubbercurry/Ballymote/West Sligo municipal district Cllr. Jerry Lundy asked the Council to erect the road signs to help tourism in South Sligo. Visitors to Tubbercurry and South Sligo had contacted Cllr. Lundy asking for proper road signs to be erected, as tourists, who wished to stay longer in the Tubbercurry area were finding it extremely difficult to locate areas of natural beauty such as Lough Talt and Lough Easkey. The new road signs were erected at the junction of the Masshill / Clooneen road and the Cloonacool/ Drummartin road, which is the preferred tourist route from Tubbercurry to the Ox Mountains, and the Lakes of Talt and Easkey for motorists and cyclists.
