The Cloonacool Players present this hilarious comedy about a widower hoping to find a wife. With witty writing an d an excellent cast, this is a comedy that definitely will bring plenty of laughs. It’s being staged in the Cloonacool Community Centre on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 8pm and is also in the Hawk’s Well theatre on Tuesday, February 13th.

The film season is continuing in the Model and this Thursday sees the 2017 Berlin Film Festival winner Félicité being screened. It follows the story of a resilient woman in Kinshasa, the Congolese capital. Félicité is the singer at a popular but dingy bar. When her son is involved in a terrible accident, Félicité must race to raise the money needed to pay for an urgent operation. But seeking help from spurned admirer Tabu might be a decision she will come to regret.

The Skreen/Dromard Drama Group present this hilarious comedy on Saturday in the Hawk’s Well. Farmer Gabriel Foley is newly married. His wife, Chrissie is stressed and unhappy as things are not going well for the couple in and out of the bedroom. Matters aren’t helped by the caustic comments of Gabriel’s mother, Aggie, who is living with them, and by the arrival of glamorous Miriam Maguire, the upmarket daughter of an old friend of Aggie’s.
