Smok e free playgrounds

All public parks and playgrounds will soon be smoke free under new Bye-l aws being introduced.

Councillor Rosaleen O’Grady asked for the smoke free policy to be introduced in the interests of public health.

Donegal County Council l aunched a smoke free playground initiati ve in recent years.

Cllr O’Grady said she hoped a similar policy could be put in place as soon as possible.

Senior Engineer Tom Brennan said they’d have to introduce new bye-l aws but said they’d be “agreeable” to bringing them in as soon as possible.
