Enniscrone to Mayo

THERE is no funding to realign bends on the Enniscrone road to the Mayo border, the R297.

Councillor Joe Queenan asked what funding had been applied for regarding the upgrade of the road.

Senior Engineer Tom Brennan replied that it was proposed to continue surfacing sections of the road this year.

In the meantime, pothole repairs, verge maintenance, road markings replacement and general maintenance will be carried out to keep it in a reasonable condition.
