Egan and Kearins in Donadea race
THE Donadea Forest Park in Co. Kildare, Ireland was the venue for the Irish 50KM National Championships at the weekend.
The incessant rain throughout the week left parts of the trail resembling a cross country course but luckily it stopped at exactly 10 am Race start time.
North Sligo’s Donal Egan was 16th and he completed the gruelling 10x5K loop in 3:47.
Sligo AC was represented by David Kearins and he finished the stamina sapping run in 3:50 earning him 18th overall. Niall McLean was 86th in 4:38.
