MEETING OF FAMILIES
Boyle will host a session of guided discussion and reflection on family life in preparation for the World Meeting of families in Dublin in August. The three Boyle sessions will be held in St Joseph’s Recourse Centre, on Thursday, February 22, and March 1 from eight to 9.30 p.m. These sessions will be held in an informal and friendly atmosphere followed by a cup of tea or coffee. Everyone is invited to attend.
DANCE, ACT, SING

SECRET GARDEN TALK
Tickets are now on sale for ‘An evening with Secret Garden columnist Paul Kirwan’. The evening will be held in the Spool Factory Event Centre on Tuesday, February 20, from 8 p.m. till 9.30 p.m. All proceeds on the night to Roscommon Mental Health. The night will include a presentation on all the gardens Paul has fea- tured in his Secret Garden column in the Roscommon Herald. There will also be a question and answer session. BOYLE GOLF CLUB
Fixtures have been released for 2018, upcoming highlights include the Spring League taking place over three weekends in February and the Captains Drive in on February 25. Captains Terry Canning and Marie Hanmore-Cawley will get the 2018 golfing season off to its official start that day and welcome all members to join them.

Soil na nAingeal Noafa, Convent Primary School, Carrick Road, Boyle are organising a clothing collection to raise much needed funds for the school. This fundraising event will be open to the public on February 21. If you are in the need of a clear out please place any of the following items into a large black bag: clothing, curtains, towels, handbags, belts, soft toys.
Please drop off all items in closed bags to the school hall between 8: 30 till 9 a.m. or 3: 30 till 5.30 p.m. on February 21 You can contact the school to arrange collection or if you need assistance with bags at 071 9662737. ANGLING FESTIVAL
The Boyle and District Angling Club Easter Pike Angling Festival will take place on Saturday, March 31, and Sunday, April 1.
CYCLE AGAINST SUICIDE
The annual ‘Cycle Against Suicide’ will pass through Boyle this May. The event previously stopped off in Lough Key Forest Park in 2016 when over 500 cyclists and back up crew enjoyed the beauty of the area. This year the cyclists will come through Boyle on Saturday, May 5, as they make their way on leg two from Tubbercurry to the stage finish in Carrick on Shannon. E

Darkness into Light is an annual 5k Walk/Run in aid of Pieta House. On Saturday, May 12, a community will come together at St Joseph’s Hall and walk in support of positive mental health. This will be Boyle’s second year to host the world wide event. freshments served. Tutor is Christopher Beirne. Art classes

PUBLIC MEETING
A Public Meeting will take place in Gleann Hall on this Tuesday, February 13, at 9 p.m. An Garda Síochána Crime Prevention Officer will give the talk. This is a subject in all our interests, we look forward to a good turnout. The event is hosted by Gleann ICA.
