Sligo RFC U12 girls in Donnybrook for Six Nations match

SLIGO RFC U12 girls had the honour of representing Connacht at an Exhibition match during half time at the Ireland versus Italy Women’s Six Nations match in Donnybrook Stadium.

The girls rose to the occasion taking on Wicklow who represented Leinster and a fast-paced and thrilling game followed.

The Sligo girls also had the privilege of forming a guard of honour for the Italian women’s team coming onto the pitch.

The U12 girls were accompanied by their coaches and an entourage of family and supporters who cheered them on during the exciting inter-provincial clash. This was a big occasion for the girls and the club. There is a big push to promote girls’ rugby in 2018 in the club and the first U15s girls team has been formed.
