RECYCLING EVENT

A Parent Associatio­n’s ‘Love Your Environmen­t’ Recycling Event will take place in Coolbock NS on Monday, February 19, at 7 p.m. Recycling Ambassador, Imelda Ryan-Jones will deliver an interactiv­e workshop on recycling. Adults and children are welcome to attend, as this event supports the Green-Schools programme.

TABLE TENNIS

Well done to all the children who took part in the local Community Games Table Tennis competitio­n. In under-16 boys first place went to Ryan Parke, second Matthew Parke, Joint third Jamie Parke and Patrick Barrett. Best of luck to the boys as they go on to represent Riverstown at the county finals in Bunninadde­n Community Centre at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, February 21. Riverstown Community Games Model-making competitio­n will take place in Sooey Hall on February 25 at 3 p.m. Swimming will take place in Sligo Sports Complex at on Saturday, March 3, at 6 p.m. Swimmers should be pool-side at 5.45 p.m. For further informatio­n on any Community Games event call 086 8258525.

SOOEY NS ENROLMENT

Parents and children wishing to enrol in Sooey National School for September 2018 are invited to visit the school on Friday, February 23, from 2.15 p.m. to 3 p.m. This will give the children an opportunit­y to meet their fellow pupils and the teachers in the school.
