CLOTHES COLLECTION

Cloonacool GAA Club is holding a clothes collection on the weekends of February 23 to February 25 and March 2 to March 4. Bags of clothes can be dropped at the community park on Friday 8 p.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 11.30 p.m. to 12.30 p.m. on either weekend. All proceeds will go towards purchase of jerseys for our underage teams and a new set of underage goals. Please support.

CLOONACOOL PLAYERS

Sunday, February 25, is the last performanc­e of Cupid Wore Skirts in St Bridget’s Hall, Tubbercurr­y. Funds for this show are going to St Bridget’s Hall, so for a good laugh come along. It is a hilarious threeact comedy written by that great northern playwright Sam Cree. The cast contains the usual mix of local actors which include John McIntyre, Denis Ross, Geraldine Lundy, Laura Mullarkey, Breege Calvey Martin McIntyre, Margaret McIntyre and newcomers Regina Henry and Dara McGarry. The play is produced by Seán Walsh and directed by Tom Towey.

CLOONACOOL COMMUNITY PARK DRAW

The Community Park lotto draw for February took place in Brennan’s on Saturday night. There was no winner of the €1,500 jackpot. The numbers drawn were 14, 20, 29 and 32. There were three match-three winners and they were Martin Seery, Katie and Jack McIntyre. Next month’s jackpot is €1,600. Many thanks for your continued and generous support.

CLOONACOOL 5KM ROAD RACE

Well done to everyone, runners and walkers, who took part in the annual 5km road race in aid of Cloonacool GAA. It was a great event, thanks to everyone who volunteere­d, acted as steward and helped out with refreshmen­ts. Winners were Desi Foley (Sligo AC), Kevin Maye (Moy Valley AC) and Dessie Burke (Easkey GAA). First local man home was James Lawrence and first local woman was Nuala McCarrick. Well done to everyone who took part.

CLOONACOOL CARD GAME

Will take place at 8.30 p.m. in Cloonacool Community Centre every Monday.
