Ladies gathering in aid of Sligo hospital
THE Friends of Sligo University Hospital, in celebration of International Women’s Day, are hosting a day-long fundraising event on Thursday, the 8th March 2018 at The Glasshouse Hotel, Sligo. This ladies gathering, which promises a little something for everyone, will comprise three sessions throughout the day. Session runs from 10am to 12 noon and will feature local speakers from business, social and political life who will talk on women’s health and consumer issues. There will also be tips for styling hair and there will be a short food demonstration. Session two runs from 1pm until 3pm and attendees will hear from the best in Sligo business who will discuss shattering the glass ceiling, the work/life balance and the role of social media in our lives, amongst other interesting topics.
Mary Tighe of Friends of Sligo University Hospital said that “the fundraiser will showcase and celebrate the great achievements of our local businesswomen, of whom we are most proud.”
Session three from 6pm to 8pm will feature a range of local experts who will talk through make-up, interior design and fashion ideas. Tickets are €10 a session or 3 sessions for €25.
