LOTTO DRAW

The Geevagh Community Resource lotto draw was held in Paddy’s Bar on Saturday, February 17, for a jackpot of €1,800. The numbers drawn were 3, 7, 13 and 20. There was no winner. The next draw for a jackpot of €1,900 will be held on Saturday, February 24, in Shivnan’s Bar. The winners of the €20 prizes were Charlene Gallagher/Pat Foley, c/o Paddy’s; Catherine Taylor, Castlebaldwin; Seán Fallon, Geevagh; Aidan Gildea, c/o Paddy’s and Ann O’Rourke, Geevagh.

INVASIVE SPECIES

All local community groups are invited to a talk on Invasive Species which will be held in Ballyfarnon Community Centre on this Tuesday, February 27, at 8 p.m. It will be presented by Kieran Cummins, who is a specialist in Environmental issues with extensive experience in the identification and treatment of invasive species. This workshop is being organised by Ballyfarnon Tidy Towns group. This talk is made possible by Roscommon County Council through the local Agenda Environmental Partnership Fund 2017.
