CARROLL Consultancy in conjunction with Homeland Retail Stores and Nutrias Animal Feeds are hosting a Suckler & Beef Expo on Wednesday night the 7 th of March in the McWilliam Park Hotel in Claremorris. Breian Carroll, Managing Director of Carroll Consultancy said at the launch earlier this week ‘ this will be one of the biggest events for the suckler and beef sector in this region this year and there will be an enormous amount of information to take home for farmers from the four excellent industry speakers and engaging with the agri-business trade stands’. He added ‘we are delighted that we can bring this event to farmers in conjunction with Homeland Agri stores and Nutrias Animal Feed and their Nutritionist Justin McDonagh will discuss the feeding of the cow and calf. Local veterinary surgeon Sarah Dixon and Adam Woods, Beef Specialist from the Irish Farmers Journal (IFJ) will outline best practices for the calving period. Farmers will then hear from Justin McCarthy, Editor of the IFJ on the outlook for beef and the position of beef production and related policies’.
At the launch of the event Stephen Blewitt, General Manager of Aurivo Agribusiness, stated “The Homeland stores and Nutrias Animal Feed teams are delighted to be heavily involved in this expo with Carroll Consultancy. Suckler and Beef farmers form a huge part of our business and we relish the opportunity to give some information and advice back to the many farmers of the region who support our business daily.
In fact I would like to take this opportunity to thank the farmers of the region for their massive support in 2017 as our mill tonnage grew at record levels and the number of customers our 34 Homeland stores served also grew rapidly. Exceptional customer service, professional advice and competitive prices are vital to farmers profitability in what can be a challenging trading environment – Homeland Stores & Nutrias Animal Feeds always strives to offer these to our farmers and we are delighted to have been given the opportunity by Breian Carroll to meet our customers at this event and highlight more of the services we offer. So please come along for what is guaranteed to be an enjoyable, learning experience”
There will be in excess of 20 agri-business trade stands and the event commences at 6pm with the meeting proceeding at 7.45pm. It is free event and all are welcome and it is also a DAFM approved KT event. Full details of the event are on www.carrollconsultancy.ie and follow it on Facebook and Twitter #sucklerandbeefexpo
