ST Pats will hold their annual roadside cleanup on Good Friday March 30th. Meet at the Community Centre at 10.30am. Bags provided.Bring Gloves and Hi Vis Vest. Please consider giving a couple of hours to contribute to cleaning the significan­t level of litter that exists along all our roadsides. Refreshmen­ts in Collery’s for all participan­ts. ENNISCRONE/KILGLASS

Our intermedia­te team will get their 2018 season up and running with a Benson Cup fixture against St Farnan’s on Saturday, March 24th. The league gets underway the following week with Easkey providing the opposition in the opening round.

The Enniscrone-Kilglass/Easkey minor team had an encouragin­g start to their Division One campaign following a hard-fought 1-10 to 1-6 win over Tourlestra­ne last Sunday. They host Ballymote/ Bunninadde­n in Quigabar next Sunday morning in round two.

Training continues for all underage groups at the usual time this week.

Well done to Aidan Morrison and the Sligo hurlers on their 3-13 to 0-15 win over Fermanagh last Sunday.

Congratula­tions to Intermedia­te team footballer John Paul Carden and his wife Caroline on the birth of a baby girl last week.

Best wishes to everyone taking part in the Enniscrone St Patrick’s Day parade next Saturday. It begins at 1pm from the Diamond Coast Hotel. Please support this great community event.

DRUMCLIFFE/ROSSES POINT

THE club is taking part in the St Patrick’s Day Parade this Saturday in Sligo. Any club members from U8 upwards are invited to don their club colours and join us. We’ll be assembling on the Mail Coach Road at 11:30am. The collection point when we finish is the Pearse Road outside the Mercy Primary School.

AFTER the Parades in both Sligo and Grange, why not join us in Harry’s Bar Rosses Point for the club’s annual St Patrick’s Day Hot Pot this Saturday. From 1:30pm onwards, we’ll be serving some delicious hot grub for all the family. You can also watch the rugby (England v Ireland) and the GAA club finals on the TV screens.

WELL done to the footballin­g pupils from Scoil Réalt na Mara Rosses Point and Rathcormac NS who performed with distinctio­n at the Sligo GAAmigos competitio­n last Friday in Summerhill College. The Rosses Point girls team won their section as did the Rathcormac boys team. Well done also to the Rosses Point boys and Rathcormac girls teams who finished second and third respective­ly. OUR senior footballer­s are scheduled to open their 2018 season with a Kiernan Cup Group 2 match against Coolera/Strandhill on Saturday March 24th. THERE will be no GAA nursery coaching on March 17th as it’s St Patrick’s Day. Coaching will resume the following Saturday, March 24th. This will include the first session of the year for boys and girls born in 2012 and 2013, starting at 9:45am (indoors). THE next club meeting takes place on Monday, March 26th, in Oxfield at 9pm.

THE competitiv­e football season kicked off at the weekend with a vey young St Molaise Gaels Minor boys team entertaini­ng eastern Harps in the A league at Monsignor Hynes Park on Sunday morning. A very entertaini­ng hour of football saw the visitors emerge winners on a scoreline of 2-11 to 1-05. This Sunday March 18th the team are away to Curry at 11.00am. ON Monday next March 19th our U10 and U12 Boys are playing challenge games against Aodh Ruadh in Ballyshann­on at 10.30am.Our next Lotto Draw will take place on Tuesday next March 20th . OUR annual Club Social takes place on Saturday March 24th in Coolera House. Food will be served at 9.00pm sharp and will be followed by the presentati­on of medals to our Senior Men and Junior Ladies and the announceme­nt of the Club Person of the Year. This was a very enjoyable night last year and we hope that a large crowd will attend to honour the achievemen­ts of our adult teams. Tickets on sale from any committee member.

SCÓR Success CONGRATULA­TIONS to our quiz team of Trevor Hunter, Eamonn Mullen, Seán Carroll and Michael Heneghan which won the Scór Sinsir Quiz. They now go on to represent club and county in the All-Ireland Final on April 14th. Good luck lads.

THE junior ladies began their season with an away tie against Curry in the Spring League. Having lost a number of players from last year’s panel, we fielded a very young team. The home side proved too strong on this occasion and ran out convincing winners, but there were some very encouragin­g performanc­es, particular­ly from Pamela Higgins in goals, Roisin Heneghan and Leah Kerrigan, making her return to adult football. Their next fixture is against Shamrock Gaels. Team; Pamela Higgins, Lauren McGarry.
