CAKE SALE

A cake sale will take place in McNulty’s Bar on Sunday, March 18, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in aid of Enniscrone No Name Club.

SYMPATHY

Removal from McGowan’s Funeral Home, Ballina to the church Our Lady Assumed into Heaven took place on Tuesday, March 6, at 8 p.m. Burial took place on Wednesday, March 7, in St Patrick’s Cemetery, Kilglass after 11 a.m. Mass in Enniscrone Church. May he rest in peace.

BRIDGE CLUB

The Enniscrone Social Bridge club is run each Wednesday in the Diamond Coast Hotel. Bridge commences at 7.45 p.m.

The Presentati­on night for the Freeman Trophy took place on Wednesday, February 21. The Lady president Mairin Wade thanked Anne Freeman for her continued support and guidance for the club, and in particular for her generous sponsorshi­p with the Freeman Trophy each year. This is the sixth year it has been played. Anne thanked Huey Daly, our Games Director for his outstandin­g Bridge administra­tion skills and continued loyalty to our club.

The winners are as follows: – first Moya Brogan, second Christy McDonagh, third Jacqueline Kilcullen, fourth Anne Treacy, fifth Jerry Boland.

ENNISCRONE-KILGLASS GAA

The Enniscrone-Kilglass/Easkey minor footballer­s begin their 2018 season with an away fixture against Tourlestra­ne next Sunday morning at 11 a.m. Best wishes to the players and management for the coming year. Underage training All groups are now back on a weekly basis with indoor training. Contact the relevant team management for details.

There was no winner of the €3,200 jackpot when the draw took place in Sheridan’s Pub, Kilglass on Saturday last. Numbers drawn were 7, 9 and 39. Winners of €25 each were John Madden/Seán Gaughan, Gerry Walsh, John McNulty and Niki Battle. Jackpot for next draw on Saturday, March 3, in Hopkins Bar will be €3,400.
