Collooney based IFAC Tax Consultant and Accountant ploughs a new furrow for women

In an interview to mark International Women’s Day Claire Walsh, a tax consultant and accountant who heads up the IFAC (Irish Farm Accounts Cooperative) office in Collooney, Co Sligo, talked about what it’s like to thrive in a male dominated environment.
Speaking today on International Women’s day Claire Walsh said; “I predict in 10 years’ time the chartered accountancy profession will be 50/50 male/female. It’s a sector that’s changing fast and offering big opportunities for women to quickly progress their careers. Clients don’t care that I’m a woman. They care about the quality of my work and that I’m expert at what I do. I’m focused on looking after my clients with a five star service. They respect that.
