Extras are wanted for US movie

A US movie which will be shooting in Sligo later this month and its producers are looking for extras!

Zanzibar Films has announced that they will be filming their new feature film ‘Royally Ever After’ at Markree Castle in Sligo.

Extras including families and children are welcome to apply and must be available to shoot between March 19 th and 30 th and they’ ll be paid for their work.

Intending participan­ts are asked to enclose a recent photograph, full costume size, contact details, location, availabili­ty and what is described as “any skills or talents.”

“We are also searching for a jazz band,” said Mairead Campbell, extras co-ordinator.

The film will be directed by Lee Friedlande­r who will be tasked with bringing to life the screen play ‘Royally Ever After’ developed and produced by William Greenblatt.

Kat Green and Lisa McLaughlin will associate produce. McLaughlin, who hails from Donegal, spent many years running the Irish Film Festival in LA, and has worked in Ireland and US on a number of production­s.

The story follows Sara DeMarco, a 30-something, New Jersey elementary teacher who has found her own Prince Charming, a handsome, toogood-to-be-true writer.

DeMarco falls instantly for the foreigner visiting America from abroad. Sara is in for a couple of big surprises, however: an unexpected­ly heartfelt proposal of marriage and the revelation that her boyfriend is actually Prince Daniel, heir to the throne of the little-known monarchy of St. Ives.
