There was no winner of the Ballymote lotto jackpot on March 10 Numbers drawn were 8, 12, 19 and 25. There was one match-three winner, name of winner is displayed locally. The jackpot now stands at €2,800. The next draw will take place in the Coach House Hotel on Saturday, March 24. Thank you for your continued support.

FIRST CONFESSION
First Confession will be celebrated by the first class pupils of Scoil Mhuire gan Smal on Tuesday, March 20 (tonight) at 7.30 p.m. in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Ballymote. Pupils from Knockminna National School will celebrate First Confession on Wednesday, March 21, at 7.30 p.m. in Doo Church.

Student Enterprise Award: Congratulations to Aoife Loughlin, Casey Cullen and Aoibhe Carty (Transition Year) also known as ACA on their recent success at the regional Student Enterprise Finals in Sligo on March 8. The girls were overall winners in the senior category and will now progress to the all-Ireland finals in Croke Park on May 2. Their project is a handbook to encourage numeracy and literacy with exercises suitable for Junior Cycle students catering for all Junior Cycle subjects. Well done to Michaela Kielty, Nicola Redican and Amy Scanlon, who took part with their all natural, home made bath bombs, lip scrubs and lip balms and to ‘Alliocht’ comprised of Thalia Kelly and Kate Lohan, who produced subscription beauty boxes with all Irish productsAll-Ireland
Wheelchair Basketball Finals: On Tuesday, March 13, the TY students from Coláiste Muire travelled to the National Basketball Arena where they took part in the all-Ireland Final playoffs. The students had managed to participate in two practice sessions in Sligo IT with the expertise of the Sligo sports partnership. The students thoroughly enjoyed the experience and came up against some very strong teams in their group on Tuesday, March 13. The student played four games, coming up against the following schools: Douglas Community School, St Flannan’s College Ennis, Grennan’s College, Thomastown and Ardscoil Na Mara, Tramore. The students played extremely well overall and unfortunately missed out on reaching the finals that day. Students were invited to compete in these competitions as a result of their recent fundraising of over €1,200 for the Irish Wheelchair Association.
All-Ireland Table Tennis Finals: Congratulations to Coláiste Muire’s girls Table-Tennis team who won the Connacht Final in Kiltimagh on Tuesday, March 13. They will compete in the all-Ire- land final on April 26. Well done to the boys’ team who were placed third in Connacht.
Darkness into Light 2018: Coláiste Muire will host Darkness into Light again this year on Saturday, May 12.
