LOTTO DRAW

The Geevagh Community Resource lotto draw was held in Killoran’s Bar on Saturday, March 10, for a jackpot of €2,100. The numbers drawn were 9, 22, 26 and 28. There was no winner. The next draw for a jackpot of €2,200 will be held on Saturday, March 17, in Paddy’s Bar. The winners of the €20 prizes were Rían Maye, Geevagh; Dermot McDermott, Geevagh; Nuala McNamara, Ballyfarnon; Claire Conlon, Flagfield and Gary, Pat, Angela, David and Ciara O’Reilly, Gleann.

CARRAN WALKING CLUB

Carran Walking Club have their next outing on Sunday, March 25, The club travel to Bonniconlon for a 10k trek along trails and through bog roads. All dry track and no climbs. Meet at Geevagh as usual. Talk to Peter at 087 2206763 for more info.

REVISION COURSE

CLASP have organised a two-day revision course for local students on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 3, and four, in Gleann Hall staring at 9.30 a.m. each morning. The two days will cover maths and English along with stress/time management and preparation techniques. Places are limited to book a place call the office at 071 9165577.

CLEAN UP

The road sweeper visited Geevagh on Thursday last and did a brilliant job clearing up all around the village. It made such a difference to see the paths and roadway clear of leaves and rubbish. The appeal goes out to all to take more care with the disposal of rubbish. Please take your litter home and get rid of it in a proper way by recycling it. Let us all help to keep our village clean and tidy.
