CARD GAME RESCHEDULED
Charity 25 Card Game in aid of the Jack and Jill Foundation will now take place on Saturday, March 24, in the Coolaney Community Centre at 9 p.m. Tickets available locally (Mill Pharmacy and O’Gradys) and available on the door on the night. Community Games
Congratulations to our under-12 and under-14 Draughts teams who won Gold at the recent Community Games County Finals. They now go on to compete in the Connaught finals in Carrick on Shannon on April 21 We wish them all the best of luck.
GOOD FRIDAY CLEAN-UP
The annual Coolaney-Rockfield Tidy Towns clean-up will take place on Friday, March 30 (Good Friday) from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. All are invited to meet at the Coolaney Community Centre at 5 p.m. where gloves, High Viz bibs, Litter pickers and bags will be provided free of charge. It is hoped to clean up all the approach roads to both Coolaney and Rockfield. If you are unavailable on Good Friday, you can do it in your own time. All equipment can be got by calling into O’Gradys shop.
EASTER RAFFLE DRAW
This year’s residents’ association fundraiser draw will take place on March 29 at 9 p.m. in O’Gradys Shop Coolaney. The fundraiser this year is set up so that each individual residents’ association will keep the money that they have raised, which goes straight back into their estates and areas.
The more they raise, the better. The aim of this is that the raised funds can be used directly by the estates to make improvements and general preparation for Tidy Towns judging which takes place in June. Great prizes to be won including Hampers, Hotel vouchers, Car service, Mountain Bike and much more. Fundraising cards will be available shortly in O’Gradys shop.
SLIGO CAMINO
THE fifth annual SLIGO CAMINO (A ONE-DAY HIKING CHALLENGE ACROSS CO. SLIGO) takes place on Saturday, July 7. Tickets go on sale April 1. Email sligocamino@gmail.com to receive a reminder before tickets go on sale. The route is 36km/22 Miles from Dromahair to Coolaney. The route departs from Coolaney Community Centre where registration takes place before entrants are bused to Dromhair to begin the walk back to Coolaney. The event has fully sold out in previous years so early booking is advised.

St Mary’s College, Ballisodare presents ‘Seussical the Musical’ in Skreen-Dromard Community centre this Friday and Saturday, March 23, and 24, at 8 p.m. Tickets cost €12 Adult and €8 Student/Child.
