HIDDENMIND CONFERENCE

The conferrenc­e will take place in King House on Wednesday, March 21, 7.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. Charlie Bracken is a qualified and trained Bio-Energy Therapist and has recently opened a Bio – Energy Clinic in Boyle. Charlie has invited Tom Griffin, who is the author of Hiddenmind Bio-Energy to host the conference. Tom will discuss and demonstrat­e all aspects of Hiddenmind and how it can positively affect our lives, and aid the recovery of mental and physical illnesses such as depression, anxiety and stress just to name a few. On the night, Charlie will be giving informatio­n on his new clinic, and there will be a questions and answer session. ABBEY COMMUNITY COLLEGE

Abbey Community College and the Brothers of charity have come together to present you with ‘The Show’ this promises to be a fantastic night and one not to be missed. It will take place on Friday, March 23, at 8 p.m. in St Joseph’s Hall. ’The Show’ will feature dance, music, Lip Sinc Battles and so much more. This preformanc­e is a showcase of what can be done by working together and focusing on everyones indivial abilites. Tickets are for sale at Style for Less, Abbey Community College and on the door the night.

BOYLE TOWN TEAM

A progress report on the Boyle Town Enhancemen­t Plan will be presented to members of the Boyle Municipal District at their monthly meeting in March.

The plan, titled ‘Boyle 2040’ which will see a rejuvenati­on of Boyle Town centre, has been the subject of research and planning by Boyle Town Team in conjunctio­n with Roscommon County Council Town Centre Planning Unit for the last 18 months. It presents a framework for public realm enhancemen­t to the north and west side of the town to include Main Street, Bridge St and St Patrick Street.

The plan also includes a vision for the former Royal Hotel site and linkages to the proposed Lough Key to Boyle Greenway. Following the municipal district meeting, the plan will go on public display. The plan is still being drafted at present and when fully finalised, it will go on public display for all to see.

DARKNESS INTO LIGHT

Darkness into Light is an an- nual 5k Walk/Run in aid of Pieta House. On Saturday, May 12, a community will come together at St Joseph’s Hall and walk in support of positive mental health. This is a truly unique experience made by YOU Family, friends and friends you haven’t met yet gathering in support of those who may be struggling or those we have lost. Together we stand together as a community and shine a beacon of light and hope. This will be Boyle’s second year to host the world wide event.
