Real Tubber dream of Holland Cup success
TUBBERCURRY will be cheering on its local girls football team who are competing in the Holland Cup during the Easter break.
Real Tubber’s U13 girls are hoping for glory at the Euros when they fly to Amsterdam on Good Friday to take part in The Holland Cup 2018.
Not only are they representing their club and county, Real Tubber’s U13s are the only Irish representatives too so they will be proudly flying the flag for Ireland too.
The side has already tasted success at a national level and will undoubtedly put it up to their opponents in Holland.
The South Sligo side will be facing teams from throughout Europe including England, Denmark, Sweden and the Netherlands.
After months of planning and preparation the time has finally arrived for the girls

to take the European stage of under-age football.
This is another big step up for the team, but having enjoyed much success at national level they know they are ready for this new challenge.
The competition is run over the Easter weekend in Almere City in Holland and the girls fly out from Dublin on Good Friday morning. There are 15 other teams in their category from all over Europe including teams from Switzerland, Holland, Denmark, England and Sweden.
Real Tubber are the only girls team from Ireland taking part and it is another huge occasion for the players and everyone involved. The club would like to thank all those who helped in any way in getting the team to this point, especially the parents and sponsors. Their main sponsor, Wild Atlantic Leisure, Louisburg, Co. Mayo have ensured the girls are kitted out and looking their best in a brand-new kit.
