John McDwyer directs Gerry Farrell (An Ordinary Man), Michael Roper (Lovely Leitrim) and Wayne O’Connor (Mauritius) in this beautiful multi award winning Canadian play at the Hawk’s Well Theatre this Wednesday. A young actor visits a farm in search of material for a play his company is creating. At the farm, he finds two elderly farmers who have secrets from each other and from the world. Over the course of his visit, these secrets are brought to light in a humorous and moving evening of theatre. This is a rescheduled event. All those with tickets for original show date, Thursday 1st of March have been contacted.

TIDY TOWNS GOOD FRIDAY CLEAN-UP
Sligo Tidy Towns’ annual Good Friday clean-up takes place this Friday from 11am at Stephen Street car park. Apart from our regular volunteers, everyone is welcome to come along including young people, scouts groups etc. Children must be accompanied by an adult. All will be kitted out with hand-held pickers, high visible jackets and refuse sacks.

The group is climbing Knocknarea in STYLE to celebrate equality, individuality and love in Ireland and then celebrating their 2nd birthday in Swagman Bar afterwards!
Join the Hawk’s Well for an action packed evening of Roald Dahl themed fun on Friday, March 30th, from 4.30-6.30. There will be: Fluckgungled Face-painting, Crodsquinkled Craft workshops and Biffsquiggled Bookshop. Why not come dressed up as your favourite Roald Dahl character? You could even win a golden ticket!
The 14th annual Carney Lissadell 10K Road Race takes place on Easter Monday, April 2nd. There were approximately 350 participants last year alone and this year looks set to be even bigger. The event includes a 10k Road Race, a 10k Walk, and kids fun races beforehand. All registrations will be in the Oxfield Community Centre from 9.30am.
