Ballymote’s new Health Centre is opening its doors on Monday
The HSE confirmed recently that the new Primary and Mental Health Care Centre will open in Ballymote next Monday.
This Primary and Mental Health Care Centre will deliver a modern centre for Primary and Mental Health Care services in Ballymote and the surrounding area, bringing together other HSE services that are currently provided from a number of different locations.
Over the coming weeks the following Primary Care services will start operating from this new facility: Public Health Nursing services, Occupational Therapy services, Speech & Language Therapy services, Psychology Services, Podiatry Services, Dental services and Dietetics services.
The Community Mental Health Team will also be based there moving from their current location in the Rock.
The Community Mental Health Team is multidisciplinary with medical and nursing staff working alongside an Occupational Therapist, Social Worker and Psychologist.
This wide range of health services available will ensure an inclusive integrated approach to service delivery.
An Open Afternoon for members of the public will take place on Friday, April 6 th from 2-4pm.
Those attending will get the opportunity to view Ballymote Primary and Mental Health Care Centre. An official opening ceremony is being planned and further details will be confirmed in the next few weeks.
