ONE of the ‘Noble Six’ IRA men killed on Benbulben by the (Irish) Army in 1922 is to have another street or roadway named after him.

IRA Capt. Harry Benson’s name was lost after a building named after him in Cranmore was demolished.

Cllr Chris MacManus said the Council needed to rectify the “injustice” of the situation. Cllr Declan Bree supported him.

His motion will be considered at the next meeting of the Placenames Committee this month.
